Under the slogan “Your safety is important to us” Menoufia Water: Educating 150 treatment plant workers on the importance of following occupational safety and health procedures.
Dr. Engineer Mohamed Naguib Saleh, President of the Menoufia Water and Wastewater Company, indicated the completion of the implementation of a plan to educate 150 employees of sewage treatment plants in all branches of the company about the importance of following occupational safety and health procedures to maintain a safe and secure work environment and preserve individuals and property.
He stated that the awareness team, in cooperation with the occupational safety and health and laboratories teams, carried out internal awareness for workers in all branches of the company on the necessity of wearing occupational safety and health equipment while repairing faults, performing their work, and implementing ongoing projects, out of the company’s concern for their safety, and that the rest of the branches will be completed successively.
He added, within the framework of cooperation between the company and the Nile Media Center in Menoufia, the company hosted the center’s officials to hold a symposium to educate workers at the Barkat El-Sabaa branch, within the framework of the political leadership’s interest in spreading the culture of occupational safety and health for the various sectors of the state and the parties to work and production.
He explained the importance of the human element within the company in carrying out all work, whether operating water stations, sewage lifts or maintenance work, repairs, laboratories, and human resources in raising its efficiency, developing its skills, developing its performance, and educating it on how to deal with and confront the risks that threaten it during work. And ways to overcome it.
He stressed that the company is keen on the lives and safety of its workers, and ensuring the work environment surrounding them, in order to complete their work tasks to the fullest extent, and introducing them to the concepts and instructions of occupational safety and health, and occupational safety and health procedures for working in closed places, and informing them of the various emergency plans, and how to Confronting fire, the different types of extinguishers, how to use them, and familiarizing them with instructional signs, hazard lists at the station, and occupational safety and health records.
