Signing a cooperation protocol with Khalis Digital Payments Company to charge prepaid water meters to citizens in their homes.
In a precedent considered the first of its kind, the Menoufia Water and Sanitation Company, headed by Dr. Engineer Mohamed Naguib Saleh, signed a cooperation protocol with the “Khalis” digital payments company to ship prepaid water meter cards to citizens in their homes via the customer’s reading, collection, and printing system devices. (pos) and by the company’s collectors to facilitate citizens from the hassle of going to shipping centers in all parts of the governorate.
The company's president explained that one of the most important features of P.O.S machines is the instantaneous collection of bills, canceling inventory, canceling the printing of bills, and bringing the meter reading to hold customers accountable for the actual consumption, which contributes to entering the actual reading and not accumulating readings in the meters, which contributes to gaining the customer's trust in the collector, reporting his reading himself, and preventing... Reading manipulation.
He added, through the P.O.S electronic payment machine, an immediate receipt is printed for the customer when he pays the value of his consumption to the collector or through the customer service offices, and the reading is also recorded on it, and the instant receipt issued by the machine is considered an alternative to the traditional paper invoice.
This comes within the framework of the state’s efforts and to achieve Egypt’s 2030 vision towards digital transformation, and in view of the efforts of the Holding Company for Potable Water and Wastewater in developing the collection system, providing multiple electronic payment methods, and automating the services provided to citizens.
The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Ahmed Yahya Al-Tantawi, member of the Board of Directors of Khalis Digital Payments Services Company, Mr. Tariq Wehbe, Head of the Commercial Sector of Khalis Digital Payments Company, and Accountant Adel El-Melegy, Head of the Commercial Sector of the Company.
