  • Eng. Rushdi Al-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Wastewater Company, stressed that preserving water is a religious and national duty, and that spreading water awareness among school students helps in establishing the principles of preserving drinking water and teaching them correct behaviors, water conservation, and optimal use of sewage networks.
  • He stated that within the framework of implementing the President's initiative "A New Beginning for Human Development", many awareness activities were implemented for school students, including interactive games, storytelling workshops, art competitions, a morning assembly, and a puppet theater at Al-Thuraya Private School in Shibin El-Kom and Ashmoun Official Language School. Souvenirs and publications were distributed urging the need to rationalize water consumption and the optimal use of sanitation.
  • He added that the company's branch in El-Bagour Center received a number of school students at the customer service center to learn about the services provided by the company. They were also introduced to the most important modern technologies through which water is provided in homes and the return that accrues to the state, families and individuals from providing water and its optimal use and maintaining sewage networks in homes and the efforts made by the state to provide a clean cup of water to all citizens.
  • He stated that these campaigns aim to establish a new generation with a broad culture of water issues, in addition to educating the youth on the correct behaviors in dealing with drinking water, rationalizing its use, and the optimal use of sewage networks.
