Menoufia Water: Shema and Tahway treatment plant is the first to control chlorine leakage in Ashmoun branch.
Eng. Rushdi El-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Wastewater Company, announced that the Shema and Tahway treatment plant won first place among the Ashmoun branch stations in the chlorine leakage control competition within the framework of the competition for developing occupational health and safety skills for the company’s employees.
He said: The competition aims to create a positive competitive spirit among workers, highlight their skills, and maintain a safe and effective level in the field of occupational safety and health to reduce and control risks in all stations and networks, use the latest devices in this field, and implement a simulation to deal quickly and immediately with leaks or any malfunction that may affect the chlorine system.
He stressed the importance of following occupational health and safety procedures at all work sites during repair, maintenance or project implementation, to preserve the safety of citizens and workers.
He explained that the activities of the "Internal Competition for Dealing with Chlorine Leakage" organized by the General Administration of Occupational Safety and Health in all branches of the company aim to create a spirit of positive competition among workers in all branches and raise awareness of the importance of maintaining the implementation of occupational safety and health instructions.
