  • Eng. Rushdi El-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Sanitation Company, announced raising the maximum level of readiness to quickly deal with rainwater to prevent traffic paralysis, in addition to the deployment of teams from the company to clear drains in the event of any blockage, as well as the deployment of sweeping vehicles to suck up water, to prevent traffic congestion, especially in the cities of the governorate.
  • He said that several areas in the governorate were exposed to a wave of bad weather, which led to heavy rains that caused pedestrians to disappear from the streets.
  • The branch heads were assigned to follow up on the process of pumping rainwater from the streets. Immediately, the necessary equipment, including sweeping vehicles and suction machines, was dispatched in coordination with the relevant authorities. The necessary action was taken and the rainwater pools were pumped out.
