  • Eng. Rushdi Al-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Wastewater Company, announced the end of the water convoy activities implemented by the Awareness Department in the village of Al-Raheb, affiliated with the Shebin El-Kom Center, which continued for two consecutive days as part of the presidential initiative, A New Beginning to Build the Egyptian Person.
  • He pointed out that the convoy included awareness seminars, light plumbing workshops, sanitation of the sewage network, water sampling, customer service and collection with the aim of raising water awareness among the village residents about water issues and the necessity of preserving it in cooperation with the Menoufia Health Directorate and with the participation of the commercial sector (customer service - revenues), the laboratories sector and the operations and maintenance sector of the company.
  • He added that the campaign activities included implementing door-to-door campaigns to urge citizens to deal well with drinking water and not waste it, in addition to randomly withdrawing water samples from the homes of residents by the laboratory sector and analyzing them initially to reassure citizens and enhance their confidence in home drinking water and to stay away from private filters and stations.
  • He added that a number of plumbing workshops were held for the caravan’s visitors to teach them home maintenance methods for sanitary ware, which help in rationalizing water consumption.
  • Holding awareness seminars in mosques, installing water-saving parts in bathrooms and ablution areas, and giving an awareness seminar to raise awareness of the importance of water in the local unit in the village of Malij.
  • The company's awareness team implemented awareness campaigns at Abdel Fattah Farag Preparatory School and Al Raheb Elementary School for Girls, which included implementing interactive games for children, awareness seminars, and light plumbing workshops.
  • The caravan activities witnessed communication with many customers who have problems related to water bills, answering their inquiries and helping to solve them through the mobile customer service vehicle to achieve customer satisfaction, the ability to communicate with them and open new channels to communicate with the public.
  • The company's chairman stressed that the aim of the water convoys is to achieve continuous communication with citizens in all parts of the governorate, to inform citizens of the services provided by the company, and to focus on the need to rationalize water consumption, the optimal use of sewage networks, and the dangers of Abyssinian pumps and filters and their harm to public health.
