  • Eng. Rushdi El-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Sanitation Company, announced raising the maximum level of readiness to quickly deal with rainwater to prevent traffic paralysis, in addition to the deployment of teams from the company to clear drains in the event of any blockage, as well as the deployment of sweeping vehicles to suck up water, to prevent traffic congestion, especially in the cities of the governorate.
  • He said that several scattered areas in the governorate were exposed to a wave of unstable weather, which led to moderate rainfall in most areas of the governorate.
  • The branch heads were assigned to follow up on the process of pumping rainwater from the streets, and immediately the necessary equipment, including sweeping vehicles and suction machines, was dispatched to deal quickly with the rainwater, in order to maintain the regularity of traffic movement for citizens.
  • Water suction vehicles were stationed in areas where rainwater accumulates in various parts of the governorate to deal immediately and quickly with rain.
