  • The Awareness Department of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Sanitation Company organized an awareness campaign in various schools in cooperation with the Education Directorate to educate students about the importance of rationalizing water consumption and preserving it, as well as teaching them the correct behaviors for dealing with water, preserving it, and the optimal use of sewage networks.

Rushdi El-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Wastewater Company, confirmed that the campaigns included implementing many activities, interactive games, storytelling workshops, and art competitions in kindergarten and primary schools. Souvenirs and publications were distributed urging the need to rationalize water consumption and make optimal use of sanitation.
  • He added that middle school students were made aware of the most important modern technologies through which water is provided in homes, the return that accrues to the state, families and individuals from providing water and its optimal use, maintaining sewage networks in homes and the efforts made by the state to provide citizens with a clean cup of water.
  • He added that the activities included educating students about the hotline 125 and the services it provides, as well as the drinking water and sanitation projects implemented in the villages and centers of Menoufia within the presidential initiative, “Decent Life,” to familiarize them with the huge projects carried out by the state in the drinking water and sanitation sector and ways to preserve them.
