“Menoufia Water” lifts the state of emergency to deal with rain in areas of the governorate.
Dr. Engineer Mohamed Naguib Saleh, Chairman of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company in Menoufia, announced that the level of maximum preparedness has been raised in preparation for the forecasts issued by the Meteorological Authority regarding weather conditions and immediate dealing with rain accumulations in various parts of the governorate.
Naguib stressed the need to take all measures and ensure the readiness of equipment and reposition it to accommodate the suction of water, intensify field visits to places where rainwater collects, continue disinfection of sewage networks, and have sweeping vehicles in preparation for suctioning rainwater accumulations as soon as they occur, in order to maintain the regularity of traffic movement.
He stated that rainwater accumulations in various areas of the governorate were dealt with immediately, since the rain fell yesterday until today, using the company’s various equipment.
The company calls on citizens to rationalize water consumption during the rainy season to reduce pressure on the sewage networks to absorb the largest possible amount of rainwater.
