Menoufia Water: Implementing a plan to disinfect sewage networks in all areas of the governorate.
Engineer Rushdi El-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Wastewater Company, stressed the need to pay attention to cleaning and maintaining sewage lines, manholes and drains, and to raise their efficiency to maintain the sustainability of service provision, extend their lifespan and prepare for dealing with emergencies and crises.
He pointed out that all of the company's branches are implementing a pre-prepared periodic disinfection plan to disinfect sewage lines, drains, and manholes, in addition to activating the emergency plan during times of crisis to respond to citizens' complaints about overflows or water quality concerns.
He added that the company seeks to improve the service provided to citizens to ensure that lines and networks do not become suddenly blocked. He called on citizens to treat sewage networks well, not to throw waste into them, and to report any uncovered manhole covers that are being stolen so that they can be replaced with new covers, to ensure the safety of citizens and to protect the networks from waste falling into them, which could cause them to become blocked.
