Menoufia Water: Implementing activities and seminars to raise awareness about rationalizing water consumption.
The Awareness Department of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Wastewater Company organized awareness seminars in mosques in cooperation with the Menoufia Endowments Directorate, in addition to internal awareness seminars with employees of the Dinosaur Treatment Plant in Al-Shohada and opinion polls for visitors to the company’s customer service centers. In addition, a medical convoy was implemented in Al-Bagour in cooperation with the Menoufia Health Directorate to educate residents about the importance of water conservation and spread water awareness.
Eng. Rushdi El Sayed Omar, Chairman and Managing Director, said that the aim of these seminars is to raise awareness among residents about the importance of drinking water and the need to protect it from being wasted, in addition to protecting its sources from pollution and not dumping waste, garbage and dead animals in waterways.
He added that the awareness department also targets gathering places such as health convoys and mosques to achieve dissemination and reach the largest possible number of residents of the governorate, so that awareness has a positive impact on the ground and so that citizens feel the importance of this vital facility and its preservation, especially since the blessing of water that God has bestowed upon our beloved Egypt is not appreciated by many citizens, especially those who waste it and use it for purposes for which it was not intended.
He pointed out that the company is making every effort to preserve every drop of water by implementing workshops to teach women the principles of light plumbing in order to repair damaged home plumbing without the help of a plumber and to preserve every drop of water from being wasted.
