Menoufia Water: Higher Training Committee meets to discuss training plans for 2025/2026
The Higher Training Committee of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Wastewater Company held its regular meeting, chaired by Eng. Rushdi El-Sayed Omar, Chairman and Managing Director, to discuss the 2025 training plan, evaluate its achievements in the first quarter of the year, and set training plan objectives for 2026.
The company's chairman emphasized the importance of investing in human capital as the cornerstone of business development and operational efficiency, emphasizing the need for training programs to keep pace with the latest technologies and developments in the water and sanitation sectors.
The committee reviewed a detailed report on the achievements of the training plan during the first quarter of the 2025/2026 fiscal year plan, and approved the second-quarter plan and the training plan for the current year. These plans included the implementation of numerous specialized training courses in the fields of engineering, operations, maintenance, and quality. These courses have resulted in improved performance and increased efficiency of employees across various departments.
Ms. Mona Al-Qafl, Head of the Human Resources Sector, stated that the General Department of Training has renewed its ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 21001:2018 certifications. Obtaining this certification contributes to the existence of a documented system for working with a system-based methodology, which contributes to the continuity of the system, and increases the company’s ability to identify surrounding risks to avoid them, or reduce their impact, and helps in achieving effective and organized management of all operations and activities.
Eng. Mohamed Abdullah, Director of the General Administration of Training at Menoufia Water Company, explained that the number of implemented programs reached 77 programs, including technical, financial and administrative programs, and the number of beneficiaries of the training programs reached 935 trainees, and the implementation of two career path programs for the position of General Manager, three administrative path programs, a COT program for trainers, and the implementation of summer training for university students for a number of 214 students.
The committee affirmed its commitment to strengthening partnerships with local and international training institutions and expanding the scope of training programs to include areas of innovation, digital transformation, and crisis management.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Chairman of the Board of Directors thanked the committee members for their efforts in developing the training system, emphasizing the importance of continuing to work as a team to achieve the company's strategic objectives, develop human capabilities, and achieve excellence in providing services to citizens.
