Menoufia Water: Awareness activities, field visits and opinion polls to raise awareness about water conservation.
Engineer Rushdi El-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company in Menoufia, stated that the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company in Menoufia organized awareness campaigns in various schools in cooperation with the Menoufia Directorate of Education to educate students about the importance of rationalizing water consumption and preserving it.
He added that the campaigns included the implementation of many activities and interactive games, storytelling workshops, art competitions, morning assemblies and puppet theaters in kindergarten and primary schools, and commemorative gifts and publications were distributed urging the need to rationalize water consumption and make optimal use of sanitation.
As mentioned, the Shebin El-Kom El-Bahary station received university students to learn about the most important modern technologies through which water is provided to homes, and the return that accrues to the state, families and individuals from providing water and its optimal use, and maintaining sewage networks in homes, and the efforts made by the state to deliver a clean glass of water to all citizens.
In a related context, the company president said that intensive awareness campaigns were organized with medical convoys and convoys of the General Authority for Adult Education to contribute to correcting wrong behaviors in dealing with water and preserving it and how to make optimal use of sewage networks.
He said that, in order to strengthen communication with citizens, the awareness department has conducted opinion polls for citizens at customer service centers as part of the company’s monthly plan to learn about the opinions of its customers on the services provided and to ensure transparency and credibility between the company and its customers, and to benefit from citizens’ suggestions in developing the services provided.
