During his visit to the Menoufia Water Authority, the Assistant Minister of Housing obligated the companies implementing the projects to expedite their execution.
Engineer Rushdi El-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Company in Menoufia, received Engineer Tariq Al-Rifai, Assistant Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities, in the presence of Engineer Nasser Aglan, Head of the Executive Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation in Menoufia, and representatives of the company implementing the projects, “EGYCO”, to discuss the delay of some projects implemented by the National Authority for Drinking Water and Sanitation, and to overcome obstacles and face challenges.
Mr. Engineer, Assistant Minister of Housing, stressed the need to complete the Al-Halamsha sewage project, the Mit Al-Mawz sewage project, the Al-Ghouri treatment plant expansion project, and the Barakat Al-Saba water networks in order to provide distinguished services to citizens.
During the meeting, everyone was keen to obligate the implementing company to specific timeframes for completing the remaining projects and to overcome any obstacles to handover and operation.
The company president and the assistant to the Minister of Housing inspected the Kafr Shenoufa pumping station project in Shebin El-Kom Center to assess the progress and monitor implementation rates.
The company president stressed his keenness to provide full support to overcome obstacles and accelerate the pace of implementation so that the citizens of Menoufia can feel the results of these efforts on the ground through improving the services provided in the fields of drinking water and sanitation and achieving positive and tangible returns for a large segment of citizens within the framework of the state’s efforts to build the new republic.
