Menoufia Water Company celebrates Laylat al-Qadr and honors Quran memorizers from among the company's employees and their children
The Public Relations Department of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Sanitation Company organized a ceremony to honor the company's employees and their children who have memorized the Holy Quran. The ceremony was attended by Imam and preacher Sheikh Ahmed Abdel Latif, representing the Menoufia Directorate of Religious Endowments.
Engineer Rushdi El-Sayed Omar, Chairman and Managing Director, stated that this celebration aims to motivate company employees and their children who have diligently memorized the Holy Quran. He added that this competition is held annually during the holy month of Ramadan, and a committee is formed to test the applicants. The tests are conducted with complete transparency to determine the winners and honor them.
He expressed his delight at honoring those who have memorized the Holy Quran, sharing in their joy and offering them his full support. He also extended his congratulations to the employees on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr. A representative from the Directorate of Religious Endowments addressed the attendees, speaking about the virtues and blessings of Laylat al-Qadr (the Night of Decree), the importance of reading and memorizing the Quran, and its immense reward, for which Muslims receive great merit and reward.
He emphasized that the company is committed to holding such religious competitions annually to instill values of goodness in the younger generation and to encourage every diligent student to persevere and strive to achieve their goals. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of fostering familial and intellectual connections among all company employees and their families in a festive atmosphere filled with warmth, love, and hospitality.
At the end of the ceremony, 30 winners were honored, including two from the "Differently Abled" category, for their participation in the competition announced across three levels. They were awarded certificates of appreciation and monetary prizes in recognition of their excellence and distinction in memorizing the Holy Quran.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, Ms. Zanouba Ali Mohamed Salmon from the Bakhati Revenue Unit of the company's Shebin El-Kom branch was also honored upon her retirement.
