Head of Menoufia Water Authority: Work continues to pump out rainwater accumulations at night in various parts of the governorate.
Engineer Rushdi El-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Sanitation Company, announced the continuation of efforts to pump out rainwater accumulations following the severe weather that struck the governorate from yesterday until this morning.
He stated: "The Menoufia Water Company is continuing its work to pump out rainwater accumulations. Teams and the necessary equipment have been deployed to remove rainwater from streets, squares, and tunnels to ensure the smooth removal of any water accumulations and prevent traffic disruptions caused by flooding."
He stated that the company's equipment is deployed throughout the governorate's streets around the clock to clear rainwater and unclog drains, ensuring their prompt drainage and preventing water accumulation on the streets, thus keeping roads open for vehicles and pedestrians.
He emphasized that the company receives reports of rainwater accumulation and will immediately respond to pump and clear the water by calling the hotline 125 from any landline or mobile phone.
