Engineer Rushdi El-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Sanitation Company, confirmed that the company has raised its readiness level to the highest degree to quickly deal with rainwater. Company teams have been deployed to clear drains in case of any blockages, and vacuum trucks have been deployed to pump out water, preventing traffic congestion, especially in the governorate's cities.
He also instructed branch managers to monitor the rainwater drainage operations in the streets, and the necessary equipment, including vacuum trucks and pumps, was immediately deployed to address the severe weather that has brought rain to various parts of the governorate.
He stressed the need to take all measures, ensure the readiness of equipment and its redeployment to accommodate water pumping, intensify field traffic patrols in areas where rainwater accumulates, continue the cleaning of sewage networks, and have vacuum trucks ready to pump out rainwater accumulations as soon as they occur in order to maintain the regularity of traffic flow.
