National partnership to boost industry: Menoufia Water Company explores cooperation with the "Engine Factory" of the Arab Organization for Industrialization.
In a practical step to support the state's strategy for localizing industry, and in implementation of the directives of Her Excellency the Minister of Housing, Engineer Randa El-Menshawy, Mr. Ahmed Omran, Deputy Minister of Housing for Utilities, and Engineer Mustafa El-Shimy, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Wastewater, regarding the necessity of opening avenues with local industrial entities to rely on local components and support Egyptian industry,
Engineer Roshdy El-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Wastewater Company, conducted a field visit to the headquarters of the Arab Organization for Industrialization's engine factory, accompanied by a high-level delegation of the company's engineers.
The visit aimed to open new horizons for joint cooperation and reliance on national industrial entities to secure the needs of water and wastewater projects in the governorate. Major General Gamal Ramadan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the engine factory, held an extensive meeting with the delegation to discuss mechanisms for supplying the necessary equipment and technical supplies.
During the tour, factory officials showcased their advanced manufacturing capabilities, particularly in the production of various types of pumps for drinking water treatment plants and wastewater treatment plants.
They emphasized that all products are manufactured and tested according to the latest international technical standards, ensuring high operational efficiency that serves the utilities sector.
For his part, Engineer Rushdi Omar praised the technical capabilities he witnessed within the production lines, affirming that this collaboration will directly contribute to reducing operating and maintenance costs, ensuring the sustainability of services provided to citizens in Menoufia, and supporting the national economy by decreasing reliance on foreign components.
This visit underscores the integrated roles of state institutions in implementing national projects with Egyptian expertise and equipment, in line with the political leadership's vision of relying on local products. This enhances the efficiency of the infrastructure and achieves Egypt's vision for sustainable development.
