  • The Menoufia Drinking Water and Sanitation Company concluded its two-day water outreach program in the village of Shama, Ashmoun district, aimed at addressing the village's drinking water and sanitation issues. Engineer Rashdy El-Sayed Omar, Chairman and Managing Director, stated that the program included seminars in mosques, a basic plumbing workshop at the village's health unit, interactive games and drawing activities for children in schools, the installation of water-saving devices and plumbing repairs in schools and mosques, awareness campaigns on the dangers of spraying water on the streets, and the disinfection of the village's water network. He added that the company's laboratories and quality control team visited several homes in the village to collect random water samples for immediate analysis, all of which met standard specifications.
  • The commercial sector was able to detect illegal water connections, identify several cases, raise awareness of their dangers, and collect outstanding bills as part of the village's water awareness campaign. A mobile customer service vehicle was also provided to facilitate access to the company's services for village residents. The company emphasized its commitment to conserving every drop of water by conducting workshops to teach women basic plumbing skills, enabling them to repair damaged home plumbing without needing a plumber, thus preventing water waste. Water-saving devices were also installed in the village's mosques and medical center to help promote water conservation. The campaign concluded with addressing citizens' complaints and inquiries, distributing brochures, promoting water-saving devices, and raising awareness about the 125 hotline for reporting water and sanitation issues. Villagers were also informed about the various ways to contact the company to resolve their drinking water and sanitation problems.
