As part of ongoing monitoring of operations and performance improvement, Engineer Rushdi El-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Sanitation Company, held an extensive meeting with the company's laboratory officials. He issued firm directives emphasizing the necessity of adhering to the highest standards of technical efficiency.
The Chairman stressed that drinking water quality is a "red line" that cannot be compromised, emphasizing that monitoring water safety is the top priority. He stressed the need for continuous, round-the-clock sampling and analysis to ensure compliance with international standards.
Regarding sanitation, the Chairman issued direct instructions to prioritize the treatment plants and enhance their operational efficiency. He specifically emphasized monitoring the final effluent from the plants and ensuring its full compliance with environmental regulations and standards, thus safeguarding waterways and public health.
During the meeting, Chemist Islam Al-Nu'mani, Head of the Laboratories and Quality Control Sector, reviewed the results of inspections conducted at water and wastewater treatment plants across the governorate.
The company president discussed in detail the corrective measures implemented based on these inspections, emphasizing the need for rigorous follow-up to ensure their effective implementation and optimal operation at each plant. He stressed that the goal of these periodic inspections is the sustainable development of the system and the immediate resolution of any technical issues that arise.
The company president concluded the meeting by affirming that the Laboratories and Quality Control Sector is the "safety valve" for guaranteeing the quality of services provided, and he commended the dedicated efforts of the technical staff working to provide a healthy and safe environment for the citizens of Menoufia Governorate.
