Eng. Rushdi El-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Sanitation Company, received Dr. Mahmoud Fouad, General Manager of Quality and Environmental Affairs at the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation, accompanied by officials from the Holding Company's Drinking Water and Sanitation Quality Department. The meeting was also attended by the heads of relevant sectors and officials from the Drinking Water and Sanitation Quality Department within the Menoufia Company's laboratories sector.
The Chairman stated that this meeting was part of the ongoing monitoring of the work system and a discussion of several vital issues related to improving the efficiency of drinking water and sanitation services. This aims to enhance the quality of services provided to citizens and achieve the highest levels of operational performance.
He emphasized the importance of continuing to implement continuous monitoring and evaluation procedures and strengthening improvement and development efforts at all work sites. This will support the company's objectives of providing drinking water and sanitation services at the highest levels of quality and efficiency, in accordance with approved standards and requirements.
Chemist Islam Al-Nu'mani, Head of the Laboratories and Quality Control Sector, reviewed the results of field inspections of drinking water and wastewater treatment plants. He discussed the most significant observations and challenges identified, as well as the corrective actions taken and the company's efforts to address these issues and ensure the continued provision of services in accordance with approved technical standards.
He also reviewed the company's efforts to enhance operational efficiency and improve the quality of produced drinking water, and to monitor compliance with environmental and technical requirements at wastewater treatment plants. This ensures that the final effluent meets approved standard specifications and environmental criteria, contributing to the preservation of public health and environmental protection.
