  • Engineer Rushdi El-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Sanitation Company, held an extensive meeting with sector heads, general managers, branch managers, and the hotline manager to review work progress, discuss several important issues, and emphasize the implementation of directives from the state and the Holding Company to improve the level of services provided to citizens. During the meeting, the Chairman stressed the need to intensify efforts to collect payments and combat illegal connections, and to work on raising performance rates to achieve targets. He also emphasized the importance of being fully prepared to receive the ministerial committee tasked with evaluating the company's performance, ensuring the readiness of all sites and the application of the highest operational standards. He further stressed the importance of rationalizing electricity and diesel consumption at all company sites, while adhering to the optimal use of resources, which will contribute to increasing operational efficiency and reducing expenses.
  • He directed that any malfunctions be reported immediately upon occurrence, and that pumps at drinking water stations, treatment plants, and lifting stations be maintained promptly to ensure the continued provision of service at the required efficiency. He also stressed the necessity of coordinating with the governorate and the holding company before any water outage occurs in any city or village. Furthermore, he instructed the company president to prioritize network flushing operations, improve drinking water quality, and ensure that all flushing valves are opened according to the established plans. This will contribute to reducing citizen complaints and improving service levels. He also emphasized the importance of maintaining general cleanliness at all drinking water and wastewater treatment plants, and called for increased field visits by branch managers to monitor operations, identify any issues, and address them immediately. At the conclusion of the meeting, the company president affirmed the full commitment to implementing occupational health and safety procedures when dealing with malfunctions. He stressed the necessity for all technicians to adhere to safety instructions and use personal protective equipment to ensure their safety and guarantee the highest levels of safety and efficiency in their work.
