Menoufia Water: Implementing 45,000 household connections to the villages of Hayat Karima in Ashmoun and Al-Shuhadaa districts.
Dr. Engineer Mohamed Naguib Saleh, President of the Menoufia Water and Sanitation Company, confirmed that the state pays great attention to drinking water and sanitation projects in the various governorates of the Republic, especially in rural areas, which has been translated into projects that have been and are being implemented within the presidential initiative Hayat Karima to develop the Egyptian countryside. Within the framework of Egypt’s Vision 2030 to achieve sustainable development goals based on the principle of citizens’ right to know the most important developments that took place in the drinking water and sanitation sectors in Menoufia.
He stated that, within the framework of implementing the presidential initiative “Hayat Karima”, a total of 9,500 drinking water connections were implemented for 81 villages in the Ashmoun and Al-Shuhada districts, completing the work of extending and strengthening water networks in different countries with a total length estimated at 200 km, and completing the work of implementing iron and manganese systems for 17 Well station, completion of drilling and sinking works for 49 wells, completion of the work of establishing a filtered drinking water station in Ashmoun, 47 wells were received, 56 thousand linear meters of drinking water networks were received, (1) iron water station was received. And manganese with a design capacity of 75 l/s.
He added, in the field of sanitation, 15,000 household sewage connections were implemented, with a total of 45,000 household connections, completing the work of extending and strengthening sewage networks in different countries with a total length estimated at 75 kilometers, completing the integrated sewage project for 10 villages, 2 villages in Ashmoun. And 8 in Al-Shuhadaa, completion of expansion work for seven existing treatment stations, completion of the extension of sewage service to streets with a width of less than 2.2 metres, a number of 26,250 linear meters of sewage networks were received, a number of (4) sewage lifting stations (Kafr Al-Gamala, Sarsmus,Kafr Sarsmos, Ashma) were received. expansions of the Dinasour treatment station were also received, in addition to receiving works carried out by the National Authority, which is the Qarnain water station in Al-Bajour, with a design capacity of 500 liters/s, and the receipt of 7 sewage lifting stations (the main station in Kafr Nafra, Kafr Mit Al-Absi, Sabk Al-Dahhak 2, Mit Al-Absi, Kafr Hilal, Nader,Kafr Nafra substation ).
