  • Eng. Rushdi Al-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Wastewater Company, said that within the framework of implementing a plan to educate citizens about the importance of rationalizing water consumption, the Awareness Department held awareness seminars for citizens, door-to-door campaigns, and plumbing workshops to raise awareness about rationalizing consumption.
  • He explained that the symposium discussed the importance of preserving drinking water, the necessity of rationalizing its consumption, preserving sewage networks, how to avoid wrong behaviors in dealing with them, optimal use, and how to activate the term sustainable development for existing projects.
  • He pointed out that door-to-door campaigns were implemented to inform citizens of the size of the state’s investments in infrastructure projects and to survey their opinion on the company’s services, in addition to teaching women the principles of light plumbing and implementing convoys in cooperation with the General Authority for Adult Education, as well as implementing scientific convoys in cooperation with the College of Science, as well as medical convoys in cooperation with the Health Directorate.
  • He added that the company's services, methods of communication with citizens, and how to communicate a citizen's complaint and resolve it as quickly as possible through the company's hotline (125) were reviewed. Pamphlets were also distributed to attendees to emphasize the awareness messages addressed by the symposium.
