  • Eng. Rushdi El Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Water and Wastewater Company, signed a cooperation protocol with Delta Technology University, headed by Prof. Dr. Arabi El Sayed Keshk, in the presence of Dr. Ashraf El Sisi, Vice President of the University, Dr. Ahmed El Sawy, Dean of the Faculty of Industry and Energy, Dr. Mohamed Ezzat, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ibrahim Tantawy, Director of International Cooperation at the University, Accountant Alaa Mohamed Fawzy, Head of the Financial Sector at Menoufia Water Company, Mr. Adel El Meligy, Head of the Sector, Eng. Ahmed Ibrahim Amer, Head of the Operation and Maintenance Sector, Dr. Islam Sobhi El Nomani, Head of the Laboratories and Quality Sector, and Dr. Sherif Labib, Director General of Water Safety and Security.
  • The company's chairman explained that the protocol aims to establish the appropriate general framework through which cooperation between the two parties is coordinated to help achieve their objectives in light of a joint action plan in the fields of education, scientific research, training, and support for development and cultural programs that have been agreed upon in order to achieve the desired objectives efficiently and effectively, which included holding specialized conferences, seminars, workshops, training courses, and exchanging knowledge, research, and studies.
  • Prof. Dr. Arabi El-Sayed Keshk, President of Delta Technology University, stated that the protocol aims to develop the technological education system represented in establishing technological universities and new programs that keep pace with the current development to keep pace with global levels and meet the needs of the labor market for new professions and specializations that contribute to increasing the employment rates of graduates of technological education, in implementation of the Egyptian state’s plans for economic and social development.
  • He pointed out that the University Council has approved the implementation of two study programmes with an above-average qualification and a higher qualification in the field of drinking water, sanitation and sewage, within the framework of working to develop the priority sectors identified by the state in order to qualify trained and qualified technical workers to serve the labour market and for trainee students to acquire what is necessary for that.
  • He stated that the protocol aims to provide the necessary training for the Water Treatment and Desalination Technology Program at Delta Technology University, with the application of all international quality standards, starting from the beginning of the academic year 2024-2025.
