Menoufia Water: The General Assembly approves the financial statements for the fiscal year 2024/2025 and confirms the continuation of developing services and improving operational efficiency.
The General Assembly of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Sanitation Company convened this morning, Sunday, March 8, 2026, under the chairmanship of Engineer Ahmed Gaber Shehata, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Holding Company for Drinking Water and Sanitation and Chairman of the General Assembly of Drinking Water and Sanitation Companies. The meeting was held via video conference as part of the general assemblies of subsidiary companies to discuss the financial statements and final accounts for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025.
The meeting was attended by Engineer Roshdy El-Sayed Omar, Chairman of the Menoufia Drinking Water and Sanitation Company, members of the General Assembly, and representatives of the Central Auditing Organization. The company's financial statements and final accounts for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, were reviewed.
During the meeting, the General Assembly reviewed the agenda and the company's annual performance evaluation report, along with the observations of the Central Auditing Organization. The Assembly recommended taking the necessary corrective measures to address these observations according to a specific timetable, thereby strengthening the internal control system, improving financial and administrative performance, and achieving optimal resource utilization.
The company's budget and various performance indicators for the past fiscal year were also reviewed. The General Assembly approved the company's financial statements and final accounts for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2025, and resolved to disburse a performance evaluation bonus to company employees equivalent to 12 months' salary as of June 30, 2024.
In a related context, Engineer Ahmed Gaber Shehata emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to improve performance across all subsidiary companies by developing services provided to citizens, increasing the production capacity of drinking water and wastewater treatment plants, maximizing the utilization of available assets, fully adhering to standard operating procedures for the plants, completing the equipping of laboratories with the latest equipment and technologies, and developing commercial branches and customer service centers to enhance the level of service provided.
The Chairman of the Holding Company stressed the importance of activating collection procedures and reducing the percentage of unaccounted-for water (loss) by expanding the installation of prepaid meters, decisively addressing illegal connections, and implementing standard maintenance programs for stations, pumping stations, and networks, while continuing to implement plans to reduce losses, improve operational efficiency, and maximize the utilization of water resources.
He emphasized the need to improve the performance of subsidiary companies at both the technical and administrative levels, in addition to activating energy conservation programs and expanding the use of renewable energy sources, in light of the directives of the state, represented by the Ministry of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, to develop the drinking water and sanitation system and improve the quality of services provided to citizens.
The company chairman extended his sincere congratulations to all company employees on the occasion of the company's Ordinary General Assembly meeting and the approval of the financial statements for the fiscal year 2024/2025, wishing that this success would be a new step towards further development, achievement, and raising the level of performance and services provided to citizens.
