Dr. Engineer Mohamed Naguib Saleh, Chairman of the Drinking Water and Wastewater Company in Menoufia, stated that applying industrial wastewater standards contributes to preserving the state’s investments in sewage networks, lifting stations, and treatment plants, and preserving the environment and human health.
He stated that industrial facilities are periodically visited to ensure that industrial facility drainage standards are applied and that industrial facility drainage conforms to the drainage standards on the sewage networks in all industrial facilities and to ensure the presence of sedimentation rooms and oil and grease separation rooms and to raise industrial sewage samples in order to maintain the sewage networks and lifting stations. treatment, public health and the surrounding environment, as well as investments made in establishing sanitation projects.
He pointed out that Egypt has witnessed an unprecedented boom in the implementation of infrastructure projects, including drinking water and sanitation facilities, the provision of service with the required quality to all parts of Egypt, and the state’s endeavor to achieve development plans in the field of sanitation.
It is worth noting that industrial waste includes liquid industrial waste resulting from industrial facilities that are discharged into the sewage system, and its danger does not stop at causing damage to the system, but rather extends to polluting the surrounding environment.
